Yes, this is an important part of the process. Grafton Hire will carry out a free site inspection before your booking is confirmed. This will enable us to assess the suitability of your chosen site and offer formal advice on the size of the marquee that will work for your event.

Our marquees are rectangular and generally require a pretty flat surface to be assembled. Our site inspection will be the ultimate test of whether a site is suitable. Another key consideration is how well the site will handle heavy rainfall - grass usually reduces water runoff well, while pavement is generally less effective at this.

We usually offer marquee hire for a period of 7 days. If you need it for longer than this, tell us about your needs when enquiring and we will see what we can arrange.

We aim to have your marquee set up several days before your function. This gives you plenty of time to decorate it to your taste and make your function as successful as possible. We will always erect your marquee at least the day before your event.

The flooring that comes with our high-quality marquees is designed to provide protection for any surface it lays on. Expect some discolouration in the grass from lack of exposure to sunlight, but this will remedy itself once the marquee is removed and the grass gets its much-needed sunshine.

Yes, we are able to make our marquees just as comfortable in winter as they will be in the warmest summer months. You can even use state-of-the-art gas heaters inside the marquee to ensure your guests are warm inside, even if the weather outside is cold, wet or both.

As part of your hire arrangement, we provide public liability insurance and equipment insurance as standard. Please be aware, however, that if any malicious damage or theft occurs during the hire period, you will be liable for the costs incurred.
