Not sure which one?
Tell us what you are carting and what you drive. We will match the trailer to the load and to your car's tow rating, and help you sort the right hook-up.
Before you hitch on
Towing basics
Five things worth knowing before you hire a trailer. None of them are hard, and if you are new to towing we are a call away with advice.
A standard car licence is fine
You do not need a special licence or endorsement to tow any trailer in our range behind a car, ute or 4WD. Transport for NSW publishes the full towing rules.
Check your tow rating
Your handbook or compliance plate lists braked and unbraked towing capacities. The loaded trailer has to sit under the right figure, and the tow ball has its own limit.
7-pin or flat plug
The trailer lights plug into the socket on your tow bar. Most cars and utes run a 7-pin flat plug; some have a round one. Tell us which you have when you book.
Bring your own tow bar
We do not hire out tow hitches, so your vehicle needs its own tow bar and ball. Our team can give you advice on fitting and safe towing for the trailer you hire.
Load it low and even
Put the heavy gear over the axle and a touch forward, keep the weight low and strap everything down. A badly loaded trailer sways; a well loaded one you barely notice.

Pick-up is at 71 Spring Street, Grafton. Ask us for advice on fitting and safe towing before you head off.

Trailer Hire questions
Quick answers for Grafton and Clarence Valley customers. Anything else, just call.
It depends on the trailer and how long you keep it. Hire runs from a four-hour minimum through half-day, full-day, weekend and weekly rates, so a quick tip run costs less than a week on a job. Ring (02) 6643 2878 with the trailer type and your dates and we will give you a clear quote, or send a quote request and we will come back to you.
Yes. A standard car licence is all you need for the trailers we hire, and no special endorsement is required to tow one behind a car, ute or 4WD. What your vehicle can tow is a separate question: the handbook or compliance plate lists a braked and an unbraked towing capacity, and the loaded trailer must stay under the right figure. Tell us what you drive when you book and we will match you to a trailer it can tow safely.
Your current driver's licence and the vehicle you will be towing with, fitted with a tow bar and ball, because we do not hire out tow hitches. We take credit card, debit card, bank transfer, cash and EFT. Tell us what you drive when you book and we will help you sort the right size, weight and hook-up.
Yes. Trailers go out by the half day, full day, weekend or week, and overnight is no problem. The yard is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, so a weekend hire usually means collecting on Friday and returning it Monday morning. Tell us how long you want it when you book, and if the job runs over, ring the yard and we will extend the hire over the phone.
Most cars, utes and 4WDs. The range suits a spread of towing capacities, from small utility trailers to heavy-duty options. When you enquire, tell us what you drive and what you are carting and we will pick the trailer that suits both the load and your vehicle's towing limit.
Yes. We deliver and collect across the Clarence Valley, including Grafton, South Grafton, Maclean and Yamba, which is handy when the trailer is part of a bigger hire with tools or event gear. For a single trailer it is often simpler to pick up from the yard at 71 Spring Street and hitch on there. Ask when you book and we will quote delivery if it suits you better.
No. We do not hire out tow hitches, so your vehicle needs a tow bar and ball fitted before you arrive. What our team can do is give you advice on fitting and safe towing for the trailer you hire, so you feel confident before you head off.
